ANNA GOLDBERG

Writer, editor, and publisher of tabletop games

  • Hi. It’s been a while.

For those of you who’ve not met me, I’m Anna. You can read about what I do outside of the internet over on my About page, but here, I’ll be blogging. Again.

I used to blog a lot. Throughout college, I ran a couple different blogs, mostly about reading, but then gradually about more personal topics and thoughts on philosophy and art (very grand, I know). I left off blogging in text form and started a YouTube channel in 2017, where I make videos about books (notice a pattern yet?), queer literature, and disability literature. Sometimes I share games I’m playing or walks I’m taking.

And yet…I miss blogging. I miss putting words to the page…screen…whatever, you get me. Writing, particularly essay writing, has been a lifelong passion of mine. It’s in poetry that I feel most able to express what is in my soul, and in essays I’m most able to let my mind sing. That is what I want to get back to, and that is what I want to share.

So what, then, can you expect from this blog? The short answer is, I don’t know yet! I’ve never done a blog that’s just me, not centered around a particular topic or interest other than myself. I’ve always hesitated to do this because it comes across as…egocentric, I guess? But there are plenty of blogs and essays I adore reading because I like to see how the author’s mind works, to think along with them, and I have had trusted friends and family encourage me to do just this for years now. I think I owe it to them and myself to write to my heart’s content, and I guess that’s what this blog will be about.

I have no aims other than to share a piece of who I am with anyone willing to read. I have no schedule in mind, no milestones to achieve. I just want to write, and I want to share what I’ve written. If you’ve made it to the end, thank you for being here and coming along on this journey.

  • While I’m wide awake thanks to some insomnia, I wanted to share #transsanta a program that matches trans youth with gift givers this holiday season. All I want this year is for folks to purchase or share Trans Santa and make a kid’s holiday magical.
